Rice Cake Bird Feeder

Make a Bird feeder with your children.

You will need:
Rice cake for each child (or as many as you would like to make)
Pipe cleaner
butter knife
Peanut butter (shortening or lard)
bird seed

Let children put a pipe cleaner through the top of a rice cake.
Using a plastiC knife, spread peanut butter on the rice cake (if you have a child with a PB allergy, you may use shortening or lard on it).
Then, sprinkle bird feed on the peanut butter or lard.
Hang from a tree or shepherd rod near your window and let the children watch them eat.

This is a great project and will draw birds to your yard.
