Slow Cooker Chicken and Dressing Casserole

This is one of our family favorites.  It is that comfy fall/winter feeling.  I serve it with green beans and mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce for a complete meal.

6 boneless skinless chicken breast (mine weren’t thawed and it still cooked in 4 hours)
1 cup water w/ 2 chicken bullion cubes or 1 cup chicken broth
onion powder
rubbed sage
salt (if using broth)
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
1 box stuffing mix
4 TBSP butter

Place the chicken breast in the bottom of your slow cooker. Pour broth over chicken. Sprinkle onion powder and rubbed sage over the chicken. Mix the 2 cans of soup with 1/2 cup milk and pour over chicken. Top with stuffing mix and season packet, dot with butter. Cook for 4-6 hours until chicken is tender. For my large crock pot, I can cook on high for 4 hours and it is done.

When we finished, there was this yummy, thick gravy stuff left in the cooker, I had to dip a piece of toast in it…OH YUMMY!! I make this one every two week cycle of meals and have NO complaints from anyone in the family!

I will post pictures the next time I make it.
