This is an update on our bean plants.  March 28

There are three that have sprouted and some green is beginning to develop.  The fourth seems to be rotting.  This is a common occurrence in this experiment.  It is still firm to the touch, so I decided to leave it for one more day.

Today’s update: March 29

The main root has more small roots protruding today, and more green color. I have put them in a dark jar lid so it would be easier to see.  I removed the rotting bean today.

This is what the bean will look like as it is rotting.  You will want to remove it as soon as possible.
